16 Jun 2013 - We still maintain a 100km distance in purpose to increase our stamina, cardiovascular, muscle, mental and body flexibility. We done twice for Genting Peres and half of Bukit Titi and also Gunung Nuang which popular and known among cyclist with its heavy gradient of climb.
We feel quite toughing along Gunung Nuang route and a heavy climb at Genting Peres as we done it twice. Along this ride we are not compromise with quality of ride as our aimed to finish this 100km below 3 hours.
We have to discipline our training and tie ourselves into below 3 hours to feel as close as possible as in Century Ride Malaysia. Honestly, it is hard to invite friends into this discipline ride as most of prefer for leisure ride with an average speed below 25 km per hour. We believe that combination between endurance, speed and stamina will give the best result. We also believe that as weekend rider (which only training at weekend ) it is unfair to compare to a full time cyclist for comparison. Some say that it is fair to compare a green apple to green apple....
We met an accident in front of Dusun Tua Mosque which involve a car and motorcycle which was rode by an old women, the car make right turn without any signal and the other was at 1.5 km to Perkampungan orang asli Genting Peres which involve a motorcycle which was speeding around the corner. We rode 100km without stopping for a meal in order to build stamina and mental strength. We also had been invited to ride at Gunung Inas, Negeri Sembilan but we refuse the offer because we running out of time.
For the information, we are cyclist consist of a father and two sons.
Here are the actual footage of our ride:
